As a branch of the national MS Society we aim to provide help and support for people in the local area by offering the following services:

    Local Events & Information

Our branch runs a number of social, educational and recreational events in the local area. We aim to provide activities tailored to our member's needs and try to provide a wide variety of events that allow people to socialise, learn more about managing MS and simply have fun. Please see our what’s on page for more details.

Please see our local services page for information on useful services around the local area. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have about local services or point you in the right direction of someone who can help.

    Support Team

Volunteers from our Support Team can help in many ways:

put you in touch with specialist health care professionals in the area
give information and advice on a variety of issues
help with filling in DLA forms
    visit you at home
talk to the Social Services on your behalf to get the services you need

    Financial Assistance

We can often help by providing financial assistance to pay part of the cost of alternative therapies, respite care and special equipment such as beds, wheelchairs and other aids to help maintain an independent life. The MS Society is committed to helping all people with MS and equal consideration will be given to each application. All applications for grants are discussed by a panel of three members of the committee (names are not divulged so anonymity is assured). All grants must be approved before items are purchased and cannot be awarded retrospectively. To find out more about applying for a welfare grant please contact us

    Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)

The local CAB offers free help and advice to anyone with questions relating to benefits, housing problems or employment and workplace questions. Help is available with completing complex forms and answering questions on a range of subjects such as where to find help with care, mobility aids or transport. Interviews are held in the CAB office in Meer Street, Stratford-upon-Avon or at a number of Outreach sessions around the District. Home visits can be arranged if necessary.

To find out more about the Stratford upon Avon CAB visit or call 0300 330 1183.
